Varsity Boys Defeat Emmanuel Christian in Shut-Out

West Florida Baptist Academy Conquerors Varsity defeated Emmanuel Christian 16-0 on Friday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Logan Fisher got Tyler Snell to hit into a fielder's choice to finish off the game.
Hudson Tucker led West Florida Baptist Academy Conquerors Varsity to victory by driving in five runs. Tucker went 2-for-4 at the plate. Tucker drove in runs on a groundout in the first, a single in the second, and a double in the fourth.
In the first inning, West Florida Baptist got their offense started. Parker Byrd singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
West Florida Baptist put up six runs in the second inning. The offensive onslaught by the Conquerors was led by Tucker, Ean Jefferson, and Chris Peterson, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
One bright spot for Emmanuel Christian was a single by Jack Helms in the second inning.
Wyatt Lunsford was credited with the victory for West Florida Baptist . Lunsford lasted three innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out three and walking zero. Fisher threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Helms took the loss for Emmanuel Christian. The bulldog allowed six hits and ten runs over two innings, striking out one.
West Florida Baptist Academy Conquerors Varsity scattered ten hits in the game. Byrd, Noah Beard, and Tucker all collected multiple hits for West Florida Baptist Academy Conquerors Varsity. Tucker, Beard, and Byrd each collected two hits to lead West Florida Baptist Academy Conquerors Varsity. West Florida Baptist Academy Conquerors Varsity was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Beard had the most chances in the field with three.
