History
As a ministry of Stewart Street Baptist Church, Stewart Street Baptist Christian School opened its doors in the fall of 1979 with 76 students, as a school where God’s truths could be taught to the children of the growing Milton community. The school grew in size into the 1980’s, expanding classes and purchasing and remodeling nearby facilities, until it was felt that space was running out and there was a need to relocate. In the fall of 1987, the Stewart Street Baptist Church and Christian School property was sold and the ministry was relocated to Highway 90 and renamed West Florida Baptist Church and Academy.
In the fall of 2008, West Florida Baptist opened a newly constructed building with additional classroom spaces and a multipurpose gymnasium, expanding ministry opportunities in both the school and church. The school has steadily grown in size and in community impact.

WFBA seeks to provide an excellent educational experience which supports spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, and cultural development in a distinctively Christian environment. -

Values
We strive to train children to love and respect the Word of God. Every child is taught by born-again Christian teachers who incorporate a biblical worldview throughout all aspects of learning and activity.
We seek to instill biblical character and standards for living which are noble and pure, and which include a love for God and country, self-discipline and hard work, and respect for others.
We are dedicated to providing the finest in academic training with up-to-date teaching facilities, methods, and materials. Individual instruction and close supervision is provided for each student. Appropriately high standards of excellence, mastery of subject matter, and practical application of academic principles are expected of all students.
