Dear WFBA Parents,
We have had a great first week of school for the K3 – K5 classes! The children are learning how to walk in lines, sit in their seats and listen to their teachers, along with many other things.
As you have noticed now that everyone is in school, traffic for pick up and drop off has been very busy. Please note the following guidelines that must be followed to keep traffic flowing smoothly and also to keep children safe as they are dropped off and picked up:
Drop off begins at 7:30 each morning. When dropping off your child please do not get out of your car in the drop off line. A teacher will come to your car to open the door and let your child out. Please have your children ready to get out of the car quickly.
K3 – 6th grades drop off and pick up in the horseshoe drive. Do not use the middle two lines if you have a child in these grades. If you have children in 7th – 12th grades along with younger siblings you will still pick up and drop off in the horseshoe drive around. This will keep the kindergarten and elementary students from walking in the parking lot. High school only pick up will be in the middle two lanes.
When picking up your children be sure to pick up according to the latest pick up time for the oldest child in your family. 7th-12th grades @ 2:45; 5th-6th grades @ 2:40; 1st – 4th @ 2:30 and K3-K5 full day at 2:15.
Again we ask that you do not get out of your car to buckle your child in his/her seatbelt or car seat. Please move your car into a parking space and then buckle up your child.
No parking in the middle lanes please.
As school continues drop off and pick up will get smoother and smoother! You will be amazed at how well things will go when things become a routine!
Please call the school office if you have any questions at all.
