Conquerors Take Two in Dothan

WFBA traveled to Dothan, AL, to take on the Emmanuel Christian Warriors in a double header on Friday, April 16. In the first game, the Lady Conquerors defeated the Warriors 19-4 thanks to ten runs in the third inning.
WFBA scored ten runs in the third inning. WFBA's big inning was driven by an error on a ball put in play by Stella Moore and Ayanna Kelker, a walk by Emory McDaniel, a triple by Allie Whiting, a single by Addison Johnson, and a fielder's choice by Makenzie Prouse.

Whiting got the win for WFBA. The lefthander went three innings, allowing four runs on six hits and striking out five. M Braswell took the loss for Emmanuel Christian. The bulldog went three innings, allowing 19 runs on six hits and striking out five.

Mackenzie Tucker led WFBA with two hits in four at bats.

Emmanuel Christian totaled six hits in the game. E Brannon and DK Wood all had multiple hits for Emmanuel Christian.

In the second game, WFBA combined for a three-hit shutout of Emmanuel, 9-0. Claire Croley induced a fly out from E Brannon to finish off the game.

Kelker led WFBA to victory by driving in four runs. Kelker went 2-for-3 at the plate and drove in runs on a double in the first and in the fourth.

WFBA got things moving in the first inning. WFBA scored one run when Kelker doubled. WFBA scored four runs in the fourth inning. Kelker, Addison Johnson, Mackenzie Tucker, and Shelby Ward each had RBIs in the big inning.

Whiting took the win for WFBA. The pitcher allowed two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out two and walking zero. Croley threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. H Thornton took the loss for Emmanuel Christian.

WFBA tallied 11 hits. Whiting, Kelker, Ward, and Johnson each racked up multiple hits for WFBA. Whiting led WFBA with three hits in three at bats.
