An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
, senior citizens and Guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.
By entering the West Florida Baptist Academy campus, you are confirming that you are not experiencing any of the following symptoms of COVID-19 identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention at CDC.gov, including:
- Fever or chills
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Muscle or body aches
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
Students, staff, faculty, and guests who cannot confirm all of the above criteria are advised to refrain from entering campus until able to do so.
Families are expected to notify the school office immediately upon receiving a positive COVID-19 test result for any person living in the same household.
Students and teachers who test positive for COVID-19 will be asked to quarantine at home for 10 days from onset of symptoms.
Students who have a member of their household test positive must remain off campus for a minimum of 72 hours.
Students may return to campus after 72 hours if they exhibit no COVID-19 symptoms.
Masks are not required, but individuals are free to wear masks if they prefer.
COVID-19 vaccinations are not required.
All campus activities and events are operating at full capacity.
Routine cleaning and disinfecting of campus property is continually emphasized.
Guests are not permitted in campus buildings without an appointment, including parents. Please contact the school office to schedule.
